There were 4,873 students enrolled in DeSoto Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 51.6% of the DeSoto Parish School District total enrollment.

DeSoto Parish School District covers approximately nine schools within De Soto Parish, with its main office in Mansfield.

Among the nine schools in DeSoto Parish School District, North DeSoto High School recorded the highest enrollment of 793 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
