Madalane Vonzynda
On July 8th, 2023, around 7:30 p.m. Shreveport Police patrol officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle at Hollywood Avenue and Jewella Avenue. During the stop, officers contacted the driver, Madalane Vonzynda (9-13-98), and found she was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Further investigation also revealed that the passenger, James Hufstetler (5-6-98) was in possession of a firearm.
Investigation into the matter revealed that Hufstetler was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses. He was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Madalane Vonzynda was issued a citation for marijuana possession.
The firearm and narcotics were seized as evidence.
