The City of Bossier City will implement an increase in water rates starting February 1, 2025. This decision comes as a response to state mandates and rising costs associated with water production supplies and equipment. It marks the first rate hike since 2007.

The city is recognized for providing high-quality water, receiving an "A+" rating from the Louisiana Department of Health. In addition to the water rate increase, there will be a rise in the Public Works fee, previously known as the Sanitation fee. This adjustment aims to support various city services including waste collection, herbicide and mosquito control programs, animal services, street sweeping, grass cutting, and overall city cleanliness.
