There were 26 Asian students enrolled in De Soto Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that De Soto Parish welcomed 4,974 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the nine schools within the parish, North DeSoto Upper Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of nine students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
