In Washington D.C., Speaker Johnson extended his congratulations to Addison Norcross and Reagan Coyle for their appointments to United States Service Academies. Upon learning of their appointments, Speaker Johnson personally reached out to both students, informing them of their acceptance and expressing his admiration for their achievement.

Speaker Johnson had nominated the students based on their merits, with recommendations from a volunteer panel comprised of active and retired military officers.

“We are grateful to these brave young men and women who have answered the call of service to our country,” said Speaker Johnson. “Both Addison and Reagan have demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic qualities, and they will be great assets to our armed services.”

The nominees chosen by Speaker Johnson include Addison Norcross from Bossier City's Parkway High School for the United States Military Academy, and Reagan Coyle from Shreveport's Loyola College Prep for the United States Air Force Academy.
