WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Mike Johnson, during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the oversight of the Department of Justice, raised concerns about Attorney General Merrick Garland's alleged involvement in the investigation into Hunter Biden led by Special Counsel David Weiss.

Under oath, Johnson asked Garland if he had engaged in any conversations with anyone at FBI Headquarters regarding the Hunter Biden investigation. Garland responded, "I don't recollect the answer to that."

Continuing his line of questioning, Johnson inquired about any discussions Garland may have had with Special Counsel Weiss regarding the same investigation. In response, Garland firmly stated, "Under oath, my testimony today is, I promised the Senate that I would not intrude in the investigation. I do not intend to discuss internal Justice Department deliberations, whether or not I had them."
