Officer arrested in domestic incident

Shreveport Police Corporal LaBrian Marsden, 35, was arrested on June 14th, 2023, following an alleged domestic violence incident involving a victim who also serves as a Shreveport Police officer.

Officers responded to an incident at the Shreveport Police Training Academy located at 6440 Greenwood Road. Marsden was taken into custody and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery, one count of Cyberstalking, one count of Stalking, and one count of Battery of a Police Officer. The battery on an officer charge stems from reported actions that took place during his arrest. This investigation is on-going.

Chief Wayne Smith immediately placed LaBrian Marsden on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. Marsden has been employed by the Shreveport Police Department since August of 2009.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
