Suspect sought in Facebook live shooting

Shreveport Police are asking for the assistance of the community in locating a woman wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred on June 7th, 2023. A warrant for Nautica Byrd (11-5-99) has been issued for one count of Illegal Carrying and Discharging of a Weapon.

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 1300 hours Nautica Byrd reportedly went live on Facebook. During her live feed, Byrd was observed arguing with another female. Byrd was armed with a handgun and started shooting carelessly.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit were notified of the events an arrest warrant was obtained for Byrd.

Police are asking for the public’s help. If you have any information on Byrd’s whereabouts, please contact the police immediately at 318-673-7300#3. Those wishing to remain anonymous are asked to contact Caddo Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name. A cash reward will be paid for information leading to her arrest.
