Of the 27,395 people living in De Soto Parish in 2020, 51.2 percent (14,022) were women and 48.8 percent (13,373) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Shreveport Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 552. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,694 females and 2,149 males.
