RPCC is Honored to Announce the Everett Scott Memorial Scholarship

11

On April 19th, the RPCC Executive Leadership Team had the opportunity  to meet with the Scott family to discuss the Everett Scott Memorial  Scholarship! This scholarship was established in memory of Everett  Thomas Scott who died in a tragic accident at the early age of nineteen  years. Dana and Alden Scott, Everett’s mother and brother, presented the  RPCC Foundation an additional donation to supplement this endowed  scholarship.

Everett, had always desired to work with his hands in a vocational  trade. Upon graduation from Catholic High, he began working as an HVAC  helper and was preparing to enroll at River Parishes Community College  seeking an Associates or Technical Diploma in HVAC Technology. His dream  was cut short but through the support of his family, friends, and Ms.  Scott’s co-workers at BASF, Everett’s kindness, good-heartedness, and  love of vocational work will live on through this scholarship.

Students registering for classes at RPCC for the Fall 2022 semester  can apply for this and other scholarships at rpcc.awardspring.com

Scholarship applications are open until May 27th!

Donations to the Everett Scott Memorial Scholarship are accepted  through the RPCC Foundation rpcc.edu/about-us/donation-form or the Wymar  Federal Credit Union wymarfcu.com.
