Caddo Parks and Recreation and Caddo Community Action Agency team up for community wellness

CADDO PARKS AND RECREATION AND CADDO COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY TEAM UP FOR COMMUNITY WELLNESS ACTIVITIES

Caddo  Parish, LA - Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation and Caddo Community  Action Agency Head Start have joined forces to improve overall health,  fitness and motor skills development for all enrolled Caddo Head Start  children ages 3-5. 

Caddo  Parish Parks and Recreation staff, certified fitness instructors and  approved volunteers will provide health and fitness activities and  facilitate an official Tee Ball League for all Caddo Head Start sites  throughout the 2022 calendar year. Activities will include, but are not  limited to:

  • Tee Ball League Games and Sport Clinics
  • Agility and Running Activities
  • Aerobics Exercises for Children
  • Tumbling
  • Soccer and Kickball
  • Tossing and Catching Activities
  • Fitness Games for Children
  • Nutrition Literacy Activities
“Caddo  Parish Parks and Recreation is excited to take the lead in improving  overall health outcomes for all enrolled Caddo Parish Head Start  children,” said Caddo Parks and Recreation Director Patrick Wesley.   We  envision this partnership to become a model program for Caddo Parish,  the State of Louisiana and hopefully the nation,” said Wesley.  

The Caddo Head Start Tee-Ball League will start its league play games on Thursday, April 21st at 6:30pm on the Balistine W. Hopkins Head Start grounds.
