Immediately after President Trump's Joint Address to Congress, Speaker Johnson provided his thoughts in an interview with Fox News. He criticized the behavior of some Democrats during the address.

"If [Democrats] are going to use a 77-year-old heckling Congressman as the face of their resistance, then bring it on," Speaker Johnson remarked. "But we're not going to tolerate that on the House floor. And I don't think the American people are going to tolerate that either."

Johnson described President Trump's speech as intended for the American public rather than mainstream media, suggesting it was well-received by Republicans and those present in the gallery. He criticized Democrats' actions during the event, stating they brought shame upon themselves and their party.

On addressing disruptive behavior, Johnson reiterated, "If they're going to use a 77-year-old heckling Congressman as the face of their resistance, then bring it on." He mentioned that the Congressman was escorted off the floor due to his behavior and anticipated a censure resolution against him.

Johnson further stated that Democrats lack leadership and vision. He emphasized that despite these challenges, Republicans plan to govern effectively and advance America's interests under President Trump's leadership.
