Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Scalise, Majority Whip Emmer, and Conference Chairwoman McClain released a statement following the House's approval of the FY25 budget resolution. The statement emphasized that the passage brings Congress closer to implementing President Trump's full America First agenda.

The leaders expressed confidence in collaboration with committee chairs and Senate Republicans to determine policies within their jurisdictions to meet budgetary targets. They stated, "We have full confidence in their ability to chart the best path forward."

The statement outlined several priorities for the budget resolution. It aims to grow the economy by $2.6 trillion over ten years with an average growth rate of 2.6 percent, compared to the Congressional Budget Office's estimate of 1.8 percent growth. Discretionary spending savings are projected at $829 billion, while mandatory savings are set at a minimum of $1.5 trillion, with a goal of reaching $2 trillion over ten years.

Additionally, the debt ceiling will increase by $4 trillion over two years. Key priorities include extending President Trump's tax cuts and funding for border security and national defense.

The leaders concluded by stating their determination "to send a bill to President Trump’s desk that secures our border, keeps taxes low for families and job creators, restores American energy dominance, strengthens America’s standing on the world stage, and makes government work more effectively for all Americans."

The text of the FY25 Budget Resolution is available for review.
