The House Budget Committee has successfully marked up and passed the FY25 budget resolution, a significant step in advancing President Trump's America First agenda. The passage of this resolution was met with approval from key Republican leaders, including Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Scalise, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and Republican Conference Chairwoman McClain.

In a joint statement, these leaders emphasized the importance of this milestone. "The budget resolution has passed through committee and House Republicans have now cleared a critical hurdle to delivering on the major priorities of President Trump’s America First agenda," they stated. They highlighted their efforts to ensure that all members of their conference were involved in the process and that the resolution aligns with the full scope of the President's objectives.

"This is the start of the process, and we remain laser-focused on ultimately sending a bill to President Trump’s desk which, among other things, secures the border, keeps taxes low for families and job creators, restores American energy dominance, and makes government work better for all Americans."
