Speaker Johnson expressed approval following the House's passage of H.R. 77, known as The Midnight Rules Relief Act. He highlighted the bill's aim to address regulations enacted during the final months of presidential terms.

"In the final months of the Biden Administration, over 1,400 unnecessary, harmful last-minute rules were imposed that burdened American businesses, workers, and families," said Speaker Johnson. "The Midnight Rules Relief Act empowers Congress to roll back harmful, partisan rules from taking effect and prevents future presidents from issuing unchecked regulations in their last year in office."

Johnson emphasized that House Republicans are striving to reverse what they see as excessive regulatory measures from previous administrations. He described this legislation as part of a broader initiative to improve government efficiency and accountability.
