Tonight, Speaker Johnson appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity to discuss President Biden's farewell address and the upcoming transition as President Trump prepares to take office in five days. Johnson highlighted several issues he attributes to Biden's presidency, including border policies, economic challenges, and foreign affairs.

"We delivered in part because President Trump is so strong, and President Biden is so weak," said Johnson. He criticized the current administration for a "wide-open border" and "skyrocketing cost of living," claiming these are part of Biden's legacy. Johnson emphasized what he sees as weaknesses in foreign policy and a compromised justice system under Biden.

Regarding Republican unity in Congress, Johnson stated that both the House Republican Conference and Senate Republicans are united behind an America First agenda. He expressed optimism about working with Trump: "We can't wait for President Trump to take that oath in five days... when he comes into the Oval Office, he will hit the ground running."

Johnson mentioned plans for a robust legislative agenda during Trump's first 100 days back in office. He indicated that teamwork and unity among Republicans would be crucial.

On budget reconciliation, Johnson noted a preference for passing comprehensive legislation rather than multiple smaller bills. He acknowledged challenges due to the diverse makeup of the House but remained hopeful about aligning strategies with Senate Republicans.

Discussing international matters, particularly the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, Johnson credited Trump's firm approach for maintaining peace. He criticized the Biden Administration's handling of relations with Iran and its proxies while affirming Trump's commitment to strengthening ties with Israel.
