Speaker Johnson has issued a statement following the House's approval of H.R. 30, known as the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. The legislation aims to deport illegal aliens convicted of serious crimes such as child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.

Johnson stated, "American men, women, and children demand and deserve safety, especially after the Biden Administration opened our border and welcomed dangerous illegal aliens into our communities." He emphasized that the act is intended to protect citizens by ensuring that those who commit these crimes are removed from the country.

He also noted that "this commonsense solution should be an overwhelmingly bipartisan effort," but highlighted that only 28% of House Democrats supported the measure.
