Speaker Johnson has appointed Representative Virginia Foxx to lead the House Rules Committee for the 119th Congress. The announcement was made on January 14, 2025.
In a statement, Speaker Johnson praised Dr. Foxx's long-standing service in the House: "For two decades, Dr. Foxx has been a stalwart in the House and a leader in multiple policy areas.
