Speaker Johnson has issued a statement following the release of the final report by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. The report, titled "After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward," summarizes findings from an investigation spanning two years. It covers topics ranging from the origins of COVID-19 to the government's response.

"The COVID Select Subcommittee’s report has delivered a careful evaluation of our nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Speaker Johnson. He noted that "the crisis exposed serious failures in leadership" and emphasized that "this report is a step in the right direction to rebuild trust and guarantee America is better prepared for future events." Johnson also highlighted Chairman Wenstrup's role, stating that "the subcommittee’s important work will be instrumental in restoring much-needed transparency and accountability."
