Speaker Johnson has released a statement concerning the use of single-sex facilities within the U.S. Capitol complex. The statement specifies that restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms are designated for individuals of that biological sex.

Johnson emphasized, "It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol."

He further stated, "Women deserve women’s only spaces."
