Speaker Johnson has extended his congratulations to Congressman Mike Waltz on being chosen as the National Security Advisor for President Trump. In a statement, Speaker Johnson praised Waltz's dedication and experience.
"Congressman Mike Waltz is a brilliant and faithful patriot, who has served our country as a Green Beret and a member of Congress. It has been his life’s mission to help protect the United States, and he will continue to do so as the President’s National Security Advisor," said Speaker Johnson.
Johnson highlighted Waltz's military background and his involvement in several key committees. "Through his military service and his work on the House Intelligence, Armed Services and Oversight Committees, and the House China Task Force, Congressman Waltz has shown he understands our adversaries are engaged in hostile economic and military efforts designed to harm the American people."
The Speaker expressed confidence in Waltz's ability to advise President Trump effectively. "He is the perfect person to advise President Trump and defend our interests on the world stage. I look forward to continuing to engage with him as Congress works to implement America First national security policies under the new Trump Administration."
