Speaker Johnson addressed the New York Stock Exchange to outline his economic vision for the initial 100 days under a potential Republican administration. His speech included reflections on current economic challenges, foreign policy issues, and domestic strategies.

Johnson criticized the Biden-Harris administration's policies, saying they have led to "open borders," "rising crime," and an increase in living costs. He highlighted family businesses facing collapse due to inflation and high taxes. He noted that many Americans are resorting to crowdfunding to avoid financial crises, citing GoFundMe's report of a 40% increase in pages for avoiding car repossessions and home evictions.

Reflecting on past successes, Johnson praised the Trump administration's economic strategies. "We cut regulations, we reduced taxes, we produced energy here at home," he stated, claiming these actions led to lower poverty rates and increased incomes.

Looking forward, Johnson promised to extend Trump's tax cuts and promote American investment by encouraging research development and manufacturing. He aims to restore immediate expensing for R&D costs and ensure strong incentives for U.S. ownership of intellectual property.

On international matters, Johnson emphasized countering China's economic practices. He cited recent bipartisan legislative efforts like the BIOSECURE Act as steps toward protecting American interests against Chinese exploitation.

Johnson also discussed securing U.S. borders using tax codes to deter illegal immigration and fighting drug cartels. He attributed rising unemployment partly to mass migration issues.

Energy policies were another focus area; Johnson criticized Green New Deal regulations for increasing costs. He pledged to reestablish American energy dominance by rolling back such mandates.

On education reform, Johnson advocated expanding school choice so all Americans can access educational opportunities tailored to their needs.

In response to Hurricane Helene's aftermath, Johnson assured collaboration with FEMA and local agencies for recovery efforts. He expressed gratitude towards first responders working under challenging conditions.

Finally, addressing Iran's attack on Israel, Johnson called for a "maximum pressure campaign" against Iran. He urged President Biden to demonstrate firm support for Israel with potential economic or military consequences for hostile actions.
