United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) has submitted a funding request for community projects at Barksdale Air Force Base. The request, amounting to $22 million, is aimed at constructing a new ADAL Child Development Center (CDC) at the base in FY2025.

The funds will be used to add thirteen rooms to the existing CDC. The current CDC has been deemed inadequate due to its size and poor physical condition, which limits childcare services at Barksdale AFB. This project aims to alleviate overcrowding in the CDC and improve conditions for dependent children and their families.

The recipient of this funding would be Barksdale Air Force Base, located at 147 Barksdale Blvd E, Barksdale AFB, LA, United States 71110.
