Of the 26,803 citizens living in De Soto Parish in 2021, 75.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 20,314 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 9,697 were male, constituting 47.7%, and 10,617 were female, making up 52.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in De Soto Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
