Victim of Domestic Violence Stabbed During Struggle

On June 20th, 2023, around 8:00 p.m. Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of assault and battery in the 6100 block of Tierra Drive.

On arrival, officers contacted a victim that was bleeding after being stabbed in the arm. The responding officers determined that the victim had been involved in a domestic dispute in the presence of small children when she was stabbed.

Further investigation led officers to the arrest of Carlos Williams (5-5-78). Williams was arrested for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious bodily injury and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with child endangerment. The victim is expected to recover.

Shreveport Police would like to encourage those who are victims of Domestic Violence to seek assistance. There are many options that exist to help. Contact SPD for more details.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
