2022 Televised Mayoral Forum Partnering with KTBS: Public Safety

While  the Greater Shreveport Chamber does not take a position on candidates  for office, we believe that an informed and educated electorate is vital  to the robust exercise of our democracy.  As such, we are embarking on  our Election Education Initiative, “Decision 2022” to enable our member businesses and the voting public to base their  voting decisions on information provided directly from the  candidates.  The Initiative includes individual interviews with all of  the candidates for Mayor, City Council and School Board as well as our  Mayoral Forum Series.

"Decision 2022" is  all about the citizens of Shreveport who want what is best for our  City. We, at the Chamber, want you to be able to make the most informed  decision when you're selecting who will be the next Mayor for the City  of Shreveport.

To dig deeper with each candidate, we will be hosting THREE mayoral forums on consecutive nights:

October 18, 7 pm at Louisiana State University Shreveport

October 19, 7 pm at State Exhibit  Museum (Note NEW LOCATION)

October 20, 7 pm at Southern University

We  are partnering with the three largest TV stations in our area KTAL,  KTBS and KSLA as well as LSUS and SUSLA. Each night will center around a  different topic: Public Safety, Infrastructure, Economic Development.  By  focusing on a specific topic at each Forum, the candidates will have  more opportunity to tell us their specific plans for our City in these  three key areas.

There are no fees to attend the Forums; however, due to limited seating registration to attend is required! When  registering, please select which Forum you will be attending. A  separate registration is required for each Forum you wish to attend, it  will not count for all three nights. If you wish to attend all three nights, please register separately for each one.
