Of the 8,462 people living in Red River Parish in 2020, 50.9 percent (4,311) were women and 49.1 percent (4,151) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Shreveport Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 109. In the 65 and over age range, there were 940 females and 664 males.
