Speaker Mike Johnson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Louisiana’s 4th district since 2017, recently shared several tweets reflecting his political stance and activities. Known for his commitment to an “America First” agenda, Johnson’s recent social media posts continue to highlight his support for this approach.
On June 17, 2025, Johnson praised the current administration’s leadership by stating “PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT. Another CLEAR example of strong, America First Leadership by @POTUS.” This statement underscores his endorsement of policies that prioritize American interests.
The following day, on June 18, 2025, Johnson addressed issues concerning Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. He expressed concern over increased assaults on these officers and criticized Democrats’ portrayal of them by tweeting “Assaults on ICE officers are up 413%, while Democrats label them as domestic terrorists and Nazis.” During a visit to the ICE field office in Chicago, he reassured agents that House Republicans support them.
Later that same day, he posted a tweet simply featuring three American flag emojis “”, symbolizing patriotism or national pride.
Mike Johnson has been serving in Congress since replacing John Fleming in 2017. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1972 and currently residing in Benton, he holds both a BA and JD from Louisiana State University.
