Speaker Mike Johnson, currently representing Louisiana’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted legislative achievements and community events in a series of posts on his official Twitter account this week.
On December 30, 2025, Johnson announced an initiative to address health care challenges in rural America: “This week, Republicans are following through on our commitment to expand access to affordable, quality health care for patients living in rural America by awarding $50 billion spread across all 50 states that have long faced challenges delivering care. The following day, December 31, Johnson reflected on the legislative accomplishments of House Republicans during the year: “In 2025, the @HouseGOP delivered real results and one of the most consequential Republican agendas in history. Mike Johnson has served as a member of Congress since replacing John Fleming in 2017. He previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2015 to 2017. Born in Shreveport in 1972 and now residing in Benton, Johnson earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University.
