Mike Johnson, a U.S. Congressman representing Louisiana’s 4th district since 2017, shared several updates on social media this week. Johnson, who succeeded John Fleming and previously served in the Louisiana House of Representatives, has been active in discussing both domestic and international political matters.
On July 8, 2025, Johnson expressed his honor at welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu to the U.S. Capitol. In his tweet, he stated: “Today, I had the honor of welcoming my good friend, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, back to the U.S. Capitol. The Prime Minister and I discussed America’s commitment to Israel’s security and our shared goal of achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that is righteous.”
The following day, on July 9, Johnson highlighted former President Trump’s achievements in a post saying: “REMINDER: President Trump is on a HISTORIC, HUGE winning streak for the American people.”
Later that same day, Johnson acknowledged legislative progress made by the House GOP with another tweet: “Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill @HouseGOP has codified 28 of @POTUS’s EXECUTIVE ORDERS. This is only the beginning of OUR GOLDEN AGE .”
Mike Johnson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1972 and currently resides in Benton. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in 1995 and earned his JD from there in 1998.
