Speaker Mike Johnson, a U.S. Congressman representing Louisiana’s 4th district since 2017, recently addressed several national issues through posts on his official social media account.
On July 23, 2025, Johnson emphasized the need for openness regarding ongoing investigations involving Jeffrey Epstein. He stated, “House Republicans have been crystal clear: there must be maximum transparency in the Epstein matter. Here is how and why.”
Later that same day, Johnson commented on legislative efforts related to the events of January 6th. He wrote, “Today, @RepLoudermilk introduced a resolution to establish a new select subcommittee dedicated to uncovering the FULL TRUTH of what happened on January 6th. House Republicans have made GREAT progress in exposing the false narratives from the previous select committee, but there”.
On July 24, Johnson paid tribute to professional wrestler Hulk Hogan following news of his passing. He shared personal memories by stating, “We all have fond memories of @HulkHogan. From my childhood in the ‘80s, to campaigning with him last year, I always saw him as a giant in stature and in life. May he rest in peace.”
Mike Johnson has served as a member of Congress since replacing John Fleming in 2017 and previously held office in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2015 to 2017. Born in Shreveport in 1972 and currently residing in Benton at age 51, Johnson holds both undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University.
