Today, in Washington, Speaker Johnson officiated the swearing-in of two new Republican Representatives, Jimmy Patronis from Florida’s 1st District and Randy Fine from Florida’s 6th District. These elections were conducted to fill vacancies for the 119th Congress.
Speaker Johnson expressed gratitude from the House Republican Conference to Florida voters for their decision. He highlighted, “Rep. Patronis has been a public servant in Florida for more than two decades and brings a wealth of leadership experience to the House, and Rep. Fine’s strong, conservative record and commitment to fiscal responsibility will be great assets to our Conference. House Republicans welcome Jimmy and Randy and are excited to once again have a full team ready to deliver on President Trump’s agenda.”
The addition of Patronis and Fine is seen as a step towards implementing the policies advocated by President Trump.
