Speaker Johnson recently appeared on the Megyn Kelly Show for an extensive interview. During his discussion, he touched upon several topics including the One Big Beautiful Bill, President Trump’s international stance, and views on Congressional Democrats.
Regarding the economic bill, Johnson expressed optimism: “In that first Trump administration, we had the greatest economy in the history of the world… We’re going to do that again, but this time on steroids.” He emphasized that the bill aims to support lower-and middle-income families rather than high earners. “It’s geared for hardworking Americans,” he stated.
Johnson also praised President Trump’s global influence: “Donald Trump walks in and they all sort of bow again, America’s back… a strong America is good for everyone around the world.” He underscored Trump’s desire to avoid military conflicts while maintaining global peace through strength.
Criticizing Congressional Democrats, Johnson said: “They have no leader. They have no platform that they can run on… All they can do is criticize Trump and the Republicans.” He highlighted what he perceives as a lack of direction within the Democratic Party.
Johnson also commented on New York City’s mayoral election: “This guy’s now the nominee of the Democratic Party. He is an open antisemite socialist. They will destroy New York City.” He mentioned how other states might benefit from disillusioned New Yorkers seeking common sense governance elsewhere.
