The Shreveport Police Department announced on Apr. 2 that it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, Matthew Anderson.

Police said Anderson has not been seen or heard from since February 26, when he was last observed at a neighbor’s residence in the 600 block of Rutherford Street. At that time, he was reportedly asking for a ride.

Anderson is described as a White male with long brown hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 225 pounds.

Authorities stated that his current whereabouts are unknown and investigators are actively working to locate him. The department urged anyone with information about Anderson’s location to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or submit tips anonymously through Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

“The Shreveport Police Department appreciates the public’s assistance in helping bring Mr. Anderson home safely,” police said.
