Shreveport Police seek help identifying suspect in stolen SporTran Mobility van

The Shreveport Police Department asked for the public’s assistance on April 14 in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a SporTran Mobility van.

Police said patrol officers responded to a reported vehicle theft at about 12:25 a.m. on April 9 at the Circle K located at 9009 Youree Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana. Upon arrival, officers learned that a SporTran Mobility van had been stolen from the location.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Black male between approximately 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with “Essential” written across the back, along with a gray beanie, gray sweatpants, and white slides. The suspect also has black dreadlocks that reach eye length.

Investigators have obtained surveillance images of the individual and are asking for assistance from anyone who may recognize him or have information related to this incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

The Shreveport Police Department thanked community members for their continued support in helping solve crimes and keep the city safe.
